Security of ATB internet applications
Amsterdam Trade Bank sets much value on the security of its Internet applications. Usually, two distinct types of Advanced Encryption Standards (AES), namely 128-bit and 256 bit are prevalent for use on most of the web pages. Most of the Windows XP versions have 128-bit encryption enabled. However, it may lag behind in stability and security. AES 256 is a strong VPN protocol that provides much better encryption and data confidentiality than 128 bit, our connection to Internet applications was upgraded to the encryption level 256 bits, to improve the security of communication via our website.
In order to be able to use this improved encryption we advise you to make use of the operation system Windows 7.
Workstations using windows XP will still be able to communicate with our applications but on a lower security level.
